The organisation has successfully piloted work in one baby home (orphanage) in Ryazan and, at the invitation of Russian authorities, has now extended its work into three further areas, also in or near Ryazan. </B></FONT></div> <bR> <div> <B>ThePromise's principle expertise lies in the delivery and support of Portage services. Portage is a system of one to one early childhood education used highly successfully with disabled children in many parts of the world.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>As the Programme Manager you will have responsibility for developing the operational strategy for the organisation, laying foundations which will maximise the impact of the project both locally and across Russia in the future. This strategy will include establishing a capacity building programme that develops the skills of local staff, maximises local fundraising, and establishes a strong organisational structure, all of which will ensure sustainability and long term success of the project. </B></div> <div> <B>     </B></div> <div> <B>You will have had experience in managing overseas programmes within an international NGO and have a strong track record of capacity building, mentoring and developing the skills of the local staff, creating sustainable local organisational structures and maximising relationships at community and governmental level. You will be a strong strategic thinker and be experienced in financial monitoring and controls.
